Actually, yesterday was day eight of the blog tour, but I didn’t get round to posting a round-up last night. I got a bit distracted by a certain football match on the telly. Plus I’ve been busy writing the next Silas Quinn novel. Getting close to finishing the first draft!
There were two reviews. Both of which seemed to find the book a little too dark for their tastes. Dark? Moi? Surely some mistake. (And can a book be too dark? I wonder)
First this on Dash Fan Book Reviews. Despite finding it a little too “dark and intense”, Dash Fan nevertheless had this to say: “The Red Hand of Fury is a dark, atmospheric, complex Crime Thriller/Mystery that will have you piecing together the puzzles…”
The next review was over on Six Tinder Weeks. Again, the darkness was an issue. Bit of a theme emerging here. But Bena Roberts the reviewer had this great quote: “I felt as though I read it like I was watching Silence of the Lambs, with one hand over one eye.”
So you have been warned. The book is a bit dark.
The third post yesterday was an extract on Jazzy Book Reviews.
Thanks again to everyone who’s taking part in the Red Hand of Fury Blog Tour. And thanks to the fabulous Rachel Gilbey of Rachel’s Random Resources for organising.
