I went to a Guardian Masterclass in tweeting yesterday. Yes, I know. There are masterclasses about everything these days. Actually it was good fun. As you’d expect from comedian David Schneider, who was one of the people taking it – along with David Levin and Jayne Sharp. Anyhow, the main thing I took out of it is that the future is visual. Vine, to be exact.
Vine is a big thing in America, apparently, though it’s yet to take off over here. You create 6 second loops of video and post them to the vine website. Some of the films are very creative. I had a go at experimenting with the form, by simply filming the first six seconds of the trailer for my book. Here’s how it came out:
