Tomorrow night is the first night of the Royal Opera House’s Exposure show, featuring two alternating programmes of ‘opera snapshots’. I’m very excited because a piece I worked on (as librettist) is included in the programme. An extract of Cocteau in the Underworld, composed by Ed Hughes, will be performed on Wednesday and Friday nights.
To get you in the mood, here’s an article about one of the other operas being previewed on the same evenings as ours. It’s based on Tanya Gold’s column about her battles with weight and smoking.
The evening will be a cabaret style event, with a cash bar inside the auditorium.
